Hikaru is very erratic and energetic, always seeming to have something to talk about and with moods that change at the drop of a hat. She generally has a huge smile on her face, and will babble on and on continually changing topics if not stopped. They love attention, perhaps to an unhealthy extent, and often display attention seeking behaviors such as overtaking conversations, public displays, and inserting themselves into situations. They are a "chuunibyou" - they believe they are a magical girl, despite neverending evidence to the contrary, and will become aggressive and upset if this belief is challenged. She parades herself as "Magical Warrior Hikaru" and will talk about her own personal lore to anyone who asks. She tends to exhibit risk seeking behaviors and ends up in dangerous situations via pushing her own limits and seeking places that aren't safe to explore.Biography
Hikaru grew up often neglected - she had her physical needs met, but her parents were very distant and rarely ever met her needs to be nurtured or cared for emotionally. From. young age, she turned to tv to occupy herself and fill the void in her development, and this led to her becoming obsessed with magical girl shows. Even though her parents occassionally commented that it wasn't appropriate entertainment "for a boy," she absorbed these shows and took all of her knowledge of emotional and social care from them.Taking all of their world knowledge fron these shows, Hikaru became very loud and flashy, imitating catchphrases and behaviors from transformations and battle scenes. They liked that this got them attention, but as they grew older the attention became more negative, and others began to view them as a nuisance in social situations. Nevertheless, they leaned further into their acts and beliefs, viewing it as the only thing that gave them a sense of meaning and stability.
As an adult, Hikaru chose to leave both their family and their home planet to seek a new life and to transition. They ended up on earth, where they found a huge amount of adrenaline from exploring earth's customs and people, as well as from imagining themselves to be a magical girl sent to defend this new planet. They took up the title of Magical Warrior Hikaru for themselves, and began to spend much of their time exploring and making a show of themselves. To others she tends to appear strange, but mostly well meaning - however, she has quite a lot of repressed issues, and tends to get very aggressive when her view of life as her magical girl world is threatened.
